Fire At CT Hotel Parking Garage Causes Structural Concerns

An early morning fire at a Stamford hotel parking garage has caused structural concerns preventing investigators from accessing the scene.

The fire took place around 5 a.m., Thursday, April 13 in the covered parking garage of the Armon Hotel located at 2701 Summer St.

Numerous cars were burned in the fire, said Capt. Tom Scanlon of the Stamford Police.

"There are structural concerns with the parking garage as a result of this incident," Scanlon said. "Investigators cannot currently access the scene until the structural concerns are mitigated." 

No injuries were reported as of early Thursday.

The fire caused the evacuation of the hotel as well, officials said.
